Chief of Jamhoori Watan Party Nawab Akbar Bugti has asked the government to pursue the policy of give and take if wants to ease tension in the Balochistan province. He was commenting on the outcome of the meeting held between the special committee of the parliament constituted by the federal government and key leaders of Balochistan including leaders of Pukhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) and leaders of other nationalist parties including Nawab Akbar Bugti.
"The point we want to make clear is that the government instead of just gaining should pursue a policy of give and take. If it just wants to take and is not prepared to give any thing at all, it would not serve the purpose," the former Chief Minister Nawab Akbar Bugti told a local Television in an interview.
Bugti said that his party representatives have presented the view point about the mega projects in Gwadar and the idea of establishment of new cantonments in the province.
He stated that the meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere.
To a question about the outcome of the meeting, Bugti said that it is too early to say about the outcome because there has been no outcome yet. The two sides have just started the process of dialogue, he added.
To a question about the future plan of action if the talks do not succeed, Bugti categorically stated that no talks will be held in future in case of failure of these talks.
