Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday said Pakistan wants an honourable solution to the Kashmir issue so that people of South Asia can move on the road to progress and prosperity. Addressing a public meeting here at Gawalmandi, he said it is not acceptable to Pakistan that Line of Control (LoC) is changed to a permanent border.
Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the government policies are meant to take care of the national interests and it is in the interest of Pakistan to go along with the international community. The minister said he has taken up with the President and other government functionaries the problems the residents of Rawalpindi Cantonment are facing.
A degree college would be built in the Gawalmandi area next year, he added. He said he would visit various areas of Rawalpindi after Eid to listen to the problems of the people.
