Police have smashed a three-member child abducting gang from Bashir Colony Shahdara area here and recovered a child from the possession of the accused on Sunday. According to police sources during preliminary investigation, the accused confessed to four incidents of child abduction.
Sources said that two days ago the alleged accused abducted a minor boy Ali Hamza from Shahdara area and took him to their hideout.
On receiving information the SHO Shahdara police station along with a police contingent conducted a raid at Bashir Colony and recovered the boy. The police also arrested the kidnappers -Bashir, Ibrar and Dildar Bakhsh. Further investigation is under way.
