District Nazim Rawalpindi, Raja Tariq Mahboob Kayani, has issued orders of maintaining the quality and price stability of daily eatables during the ongoing last Ashra of Ramazan-ul-Mubarak.
The Nazim during his surprised visit to several bazaars of the district on Sunday directed the administration and officials concerned to strictly check the quality and rates of daily eatables especially fruits and vegetables.
He visited the Sunday Bazaars and checked the quality and prices of the different routine use items including fruits, vegetables and meat. During checking he arrested some profiteers on over charging.
He also directed the different police stations officials to deploy more police personnel in Sunday Bazaars and directed the administration of the bazaars to keep an eye on parking lots to avoid any untoward incident.
The Nazim also visited the Commercial Market, Muslim Town and inside city and arrested the several encroachers and demolished their encroachments. He warned that strict action would be taken against those shopkeepers who would display their items outside their shops.
He urged upon the shopkeepers to fulfill their responsibilities to avoid traffic jams so that the citizens who come for shopping could be averted from agonies.
