Malaysia's crude palm oil output fell 8.46 percent to 1,362,323 tonnes in October from 1,488,215 tonnes in September, the government-run Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said on Wednesday. In October 2003, output stood at 1,192,684 tonnes. Exports for last month totalled 1,165,214 tonnes, down 9.84 percent from 1,292,438 tonnes in September. In October 2003, exports stood at 1,199,492 tonnes.
MPOB said palm oil closing stocks at end-October totalled 1,358,799 tonnes, up 1.92 percent from 1,333,223 tonnes at end-September.
At end-October last year, stocks stood at 875,895 tonnes.
