The Trading Corporation of Pakistan has clarified a news item "TCP fails to make timely payments to ginners" appeared in Business Recorder on November 10. The TCP says: "The Corporation has received about 200,000 bales by November 8 at its Multan and Karachi godowns and has made payments to the ginners for 133,000 bales amounting to Rs 1.140 billion.
"The payment to the ginners for the balance quantity of 67,000 bales (most of which were received during last week) is under process and will be released/disbursed to the ginners before Eid holidays.
"In view of the above, it may be appreciated that the TCP is making timely payments to the ginners and will also ensure that timely payments are made in fixture as well."-PR
