Growth in China's broad money supply eased to 13.5 percent in the year through October, the slowest pace in nearly three years. The figure was below the median forecast of 14.5 percent in a Reuters poll of five economists, and was also well within the government's target of about 17 percent for the full year.
Year-on-year growth of broad M2 money supply had slowed every month since February before re-accelerating through the end of September to 13.9 percent. October's growth was the lowest since February 2002, when money supply rose 13.0 percent on the year.
