NWFP Governor Lieutenant General Iftikhar Hussain Shah (Retd) called on Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at Prime Minister's house on Thursday. Both the leaders discussed the law & order situation and ongoing development projects in the province with special reference to development schemes in the Tribal Areas.
Prime Minister asked the Governor about the use of special development fund for Tribal Areas, and reiterated the government' s resolve to restore peace and tranquillity in the province.
The Prime Minister directed NWFP Governor to indicate development projects for immediate start in the province; and especially in the Tribal Areas to enhance the literacy and provide basic health facilities to common man.
