We learnt that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has banned meals on weddings which may render thousands of poor persons jobless. The government of Pakistanis is well aware that due to the ban on meals at wedding functions 14 to 15 lakh people will be unemployed, including employees of Shadi Halls, party decorators, meat suppliers, poultry suppliers, kitchen utensils washers and other related persons who serve at the parties. They will suffer and become jobless due to the ban.
On the other hand the government is trying to boost investment and jobs. If this matter is not considered 15 lakh persons will be unemployed.
We hope that the government has a soft corner for the poor persons and at allow them at least one meal, which is convenient for every family.
As people with small flats/houses throughout the country are unable to arrange the meals at their residences. They can only go to a place like a community centre or some hall.
