The district government of Rawalpindi has decided to set up 26 Early Childhood Schools (ECS) in the district in order to make the toddlers from 3 to 5 year age to enter school era with confidence. The approval for the project was given and Rs 1.5 million have been allocated to launch the project, sources in district government told this scribe. They said that these schools would be opened in Kotli Sattiyan, Kahuta, Taxila and other far-flung areas in order to motivate the small children to take education.
People in these far-flung areas are still reluctant to send their children to school, they said adding that children are also reluctant to visit school due to one or the other reason.
They said that teachers would be appointed from the locality who would be given education to toddlers while playing different games and motivate them to enter the schools.
