Three Indian occupation army soldiers, including an officer were killed in a landmine explosion in Indian occupied Kashmir, only days after India started withdrawing some of its occupation troops from the region, police said on Saturday. The explosion that also injured four other Indian occupation soldiers took place in the Bahramgali area of southern Poonch district late Friday, a police spokesman said.
He said freedom fighters triggered a landmine when an Indian occupation army vehicle was passing through Poonch.
"Three of the Indian occupation soldiers died on the spot," he said, adding two of the injured were in a critical condition.
"The reinforcements swiftly sealed off the area and launched a search out operation for the freedom fighters," he said.
The explosion marks the first major attack on the security forces since India started pulling out some of its occupation troops from Indian occupied Kashmir on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Indian army on Saturday seized 300 kilograms, of deadly RDX explosives from a shop in southern Anantnag town, police said.
"The explosives were recovered from a shop," the spokesman said, adding that the shopkeeper had been arrested.
The first battalion of Indian occupation soldiers withdrew from the same district of Anantnag.
