Reforms pertaining to the Law Ministry announced by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz during his address to the nation would be finalised before December 31, said the Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, Mohammad Wasi Zafar here on Sunday. "Most of the amendments will be achieved by December 31," the Law Minister told PTV.
Whatever the Prime Minister announced in his address was practicable as he held detailed discussions with all concerned departments and ministries prior to address the nation.
Amendments in the announced laws would help reduce unnecessary litigation as under the reforms a common man can take action if a wrong FIR is get registered against him, he added.
"In presence of the law, people involved in blackmailing and teasing innocent citizen would avoid litigation."
