Some misguided people are facing frustration due to economic stability of Pakistan and they feel that economic prosperity of masses would not help them to meet their agenda and they started negative tricks to derail the process, said Haji Fazal ur Rehman, President Rotary Club Islamabad and former Vice President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here on Wednesday.
Pakistan due to economic reforms and healthy policies of Musharraf and not Shaukat Aziz governments has attained economic stability. "We are now in a position to dictate our terms to world rather than following the dictates of the financial institutions", Fazal said while talking to Business Recorder.
He said that proper and sincere efforts are necessary to penetrate the world market after WTO regime being enforced. "We have a lot of potential to compete world market and reserve a big berth for our textile and other industries. But it needs quality and cost efficiency of the products", Fazal added.
He said that government should join hands with the business community and help them in their endeavours to enter the competition on international level.
He stressed the need of having a proper know how about the trends of the international market and quality management is basis for capturing international market and the emphasis should be laid to Small and Medium Enterprises.
There should be positive efforts from both sides to give know how about the WTO and Safta regimes to Industrialists, Fazal said adding that with having proper knowledge of the changing trends Pakistani Industrialist and exporter would be better equipped in the world market.
