The speakers at Mohammad Ali Jinnah University convocation urged the students to use their potentials for development of the country. The 3rd MAJU convocation was held here in the Convention Center on Thursday in which as much as 175 students were awarded of MBA, MS, BBA and BS degrees. Addressing the convocation, prominent Nuclear scientist and Chairman National Engineering Scientific Commission (Nescom), Dr Samar Mubarak Mand said that Pakistani students must go overseas for receiving higher education and come back to work in their own country for its development.
He said that only the professional and the qualified young generation could change the fate of the country. Dr Mubarak Mand lauded the qualified manpower of the country on working in Pakistan despite lucrative opportunities overseas.
He quoted the example of many nuclear scientists, who preferred to work in Pakistan despite attractive careers abroad, making the country the only single nuclear power in the Islamic world.
"You (student) are the citizens of proud nation and its your duty to work hard utilising your potentials effectively", Samer added.
Dr Mubarak said that Higher Education Commission (HEC) should device policies to send maximum students abroad, for receiving higher education.
In his speech, Mian Amer Mehmood, Vice Chancellor of the University, said that MAJU has been imparting professional education to the students keeping in view the future needs.
