Majlis Ahrar-i-Islam Pakistan has announced to observe protest on November 26, Friday against omission of the column of "religion" from the Readable passports describing it a "coverage to Qadianis" who were declared Non-Muslim in 1973 constitutionally. "We have decided to observe the protest day to express our anger against the deletion of mandatory provision of religion in computerised readable passports because it is an abortive attempt of the bureaucracy to introduce Qadianis as Muslims," said Syed Ata-ul-Muhaiman while presiding over a meeting of Majlis-i-Ahrar here on Thursday.
It demanded for removal of Qadianis from the key-posts of federal and provincial governments and agencies forthwith and column of religion must be restored on the passport so that Qadianis could not pose themselves as Muslims to misguide or mislead the people who recently embraced Islam in the world.
He said that resolutions would be adopted in the Friday prayers and prayers leaders would deliver sermons against this decision.
The meeting was also addressed by Syed Muhammad Kafeel Bukhari, Abdul Latif Khalid Cheema, Professor Khalid Shabbir and Abdul Rehman Bawa.
