Around 500 delegates have so far confirmed their participation in the International Nutrition Conference-2004, being organised by Nutritionists Association of Pakistan (NAP) here on December 1 & 2. According to Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha, who is organising secretary of the conference, apart from inaugural session, there will be technical sessions on poultry nutrition, general animal nutrition, animal feed industry and human nutrition.
Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) and Minister for Livestock and Dairy Development, Syed Haroon Ahmed Sultan will attend the conference as chief guests.
As many as 28 papers have been selected for oral presentation. Besides scientists from Europe and North America, an Indian delegation comprising 33 scientists from Punjab Agricultural University Ludhiana, CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hissar, National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal and National Dairy Development Board, Anand are expected to participate in the conference.
