Mushahid welcomes Zardari's statement

Pakistan Muslim League Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed has underlined the need for national reconciliation and broad-based consensus among all political forces of the country. He welcomed Zardari' s statement calling for reconciliation and his readiness to act as a bridge between the government and opposition. The release of Asif Ali Zardari had improved country's political atmosphere, Mushahid told Voice of America on Friday.
His release had proved all institutions were fully functioning in a free atmosphere without any duress.
Advising MMA to adopt positive attitude Mushahid said the path of antagonism had devoured many governments in the past.
To a question he said he foresaw no movement against the present government.
