Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz on Friday said Pakistan Television being the national electronic medium has a great role to play in national development and promoting brotherhood. In his message on the occasion of 40th anniversary of PTV celebrated on Friday, the Prime Minister said he was delighted that PTV is celebrating its 40th birthday and is successfully operating in the present competitive scenario.
He said the PTV has a great role to play in national development, therefore, they should transform their energies in formulation of programmes, which inspire the masses towards national harmony and unification.
The Prime Minister said the PTV is also committed to disseminate education, information and entertainment to all segments of society, may it be children, youth or women.
Shaukat Aziz said the PTV should also concentrate towards preparation of social sector programmes, which are vital for a developing national like Pakistan.
The Prime Minister said: "I except them to face the challenges and develop ways and means to achieve the mega task, which is ahead of them."
He said: "I am sure PTV has great potential and it shall come up to the expectation of the nation."
