After Qandeel Baloch’s brother allegedly strangled her to death in the name of honour, she has been excluded by Facebook and Instagram too; she had over 700,000 fans on her Facebook page. The page is no more available and her Instagram account has also been deleted.
No one knows the actual reason to exclude Qandeel Baloch from social media. According to Facebook policy, any record which has a place with an expired individual is naturally made into a memorialized account where loved ones can share memories in the course of events.
However, according to Facebook’s help centre, ‘pages with a sole admin whose account was memorialized will be removed from Facebook if we receive a valid request’.
Qandeel rose to fame with her ‘infamous’ Facebook and Instagram uploads, which according to many were objectionable still had uncountable views on it.
On the other hand, as per the latest development in the case, the main accused Qandeel’s brother Waseem confessed that he had plotted the murder with his relative Haq Nawaz. Police have also arrested two of Qandeel’s sister-in-laws from Dera Ghazi Khan, local media reported.
