A 22-day strike over wages and benefits at Chile's El Abra copper mine, controlled by Phelps Dodge Corp, ended on Friday when 450 union workers voted to accept a new contract offer, a union leader said.
Rodrigo Hernandez, spokesman for the biggest union at the mine, said union workers would be back on the job on Sunday.
"The strike is over. We had a very clear vote where 70 percent approved the proposal," Hernandez told Reuters.
