Swiss engineering group ABB won orders worth $70 million for three projects to strengthen the power supply in Mexico, the firm said on Monday. ABB said the contracts, awarded by the Mexican state-owned utility, will enlarge the transmission network in different parts of the country.
ABB, which will provide substations, power transformer and power reactors, has won a number of previous power contracts in Mexico. Power technologies is one of ABB's two core business areas.
