Punjab Minister for Mines and Minerals, Muhammad Sibtain Khan has said that services of private sector would be utilised for exploration and development of mineral resources in the province, while special incentives and facilities would be extended to the private sector so that maximum utilisation of mineral resources could be made possible.
While presiding over a high level meeting of Punjab Mineral Development Corporation (Punjmin), the minister said that their province was very rich in mineral resources but the point was to properly explore and use those resources.
He said that strategy had been evolved to develop the mining sector on modern and scientific lines. He directed the concerned officers of Punjmin to further speed up the exploration work of mineral resources and conduct comprehensive survey of mining areas.
