Not many may be knowing that the Punjab Co-operatives Board for Liquidation (PCBL), Lahore, headed by Brigadier Sadiq Maan (Retd) and ably assisted by Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Majeed (Retd)and Major Zia (Retd) and many other civilian staff members has reimbursed millions to the hapless affectees of the notorious Co-operative scam of the early nineties. One has to see to believe the efficient working and courteous attention of the staff there rendering all possible assistance and help to the poor victims of the largest scam in the country's history. The place is thronged daily by the hundreds of the old, disabled, elderly women and others who are all attended to entirely to their satisfaction and that too most transparently and cleanly-something rarely found these days in the government offices.
No one can find favours with the staff or jump the queue, as they say. The entire record is computerised and every case is settled in its own turn efficiently and smoothly.
