Sindh-Balochistan Zone Executive Member Sana Ullah Khan has been elected as Chairman of All Pakistan Marble Industries Association (APMIA) for 2004-05. The annual elections of the association were held on November 28 in a local hotel, a press release issued here on Saturday said.
The 24 executive members from all the four zones, ie, Rawalpindi/Islamabad Zone, Sindh/Balochistan Zone, Lahore Zone and Sarhad Zone participated to elect their top office bearers
It said there were two candidates for chairmanship, one Sana Ullah Khan of Sindh Balochistan Zone and the other Ehsan Ullah Khan of Sarhad Zone, the release added that Sana Ullah Khan got 13 votes while Ehsan Ullah Khan got 11 votes. In this way, Sana Ullah Khan of Sindh /Balochistan Zone was elected by the majority as APMIA Chairman.
According to the release Khalid Mehmood Mian elected unopposed as APMIA Sr Vice Chairman. During this election, Sheikh Muhammad Arshad was elected as Zonal Vice Chairman- Rawalpindi/Islamabad Zone, Muhammad Jamal as Zonal Vice Chairman- Sindh Balochistan Zone, Ch Wajid Ali as Zonal Vice Chairman- Lahore Zone and Muhammad Tariq Iqbal was elected as Zonal Vice Chairman- Sarhad Zone. All the zonal vice chairmen were elected unanimously.-PR
