The Karachi Port handled 71,918 tonnes of cargo including 57,498 tonnes import and 14,420 tonnes export cargo during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday. The cargo comprised of 40,869 tonnes dry and 31,049 tonnes liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Apl Jeddah, Kota Waris, Sinar Bontang, Induruwa Valley, Le He, Regent Park and Yanaseni sailed out to sea during the report period.
Three vessels viz BBC Greece, Metaxata and African Kingfisher are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Metaxata, African Kingfisher, Alam Aman-II, Olivitte and Corinthiakos are expected to sail on Sunday.
Four ships namely MT Swat, Lady Jasmine, MT Johar and Kota Indah due to arrive on Saturday, while three vessels viz Bunga Bidara, Thor Captain and Wakasa are due to arrive on Sunday.
Three vessels viz Jian She-36, Madura and Min He are due to arrive on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 1,931 tonnes chemicals; 29,000 tonnes diesel oil; 15,424 tonnes wheat; 90 tonnes general cargo and 15,504 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three container vessels viz Stolt Vest Land, Oranje and MSC Mexico Cobra sailed out to sea during the report period.
A total of seven vessels viz OOCL Ability, Rimccia, Regent Park, Chemstar Eagle, Daugava, Great Luck and Silver One are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three ships namely Chemstar Eagle, Daugava and OOCL Ability due to take berths on Saturday.
