Authorities seized 2.3 tonnes of morphine worth millions of dollars and a large quantity of arms from a remote south-western village near the Afghan border, a paramilitary officer said on Sunday. The drugs and arms such as rocket launchers, mortars and anti-aircraft rounds smuggled from Afghanistan were found dumped in a village after a raid by paramilitary Frontier Corps near the town of Chaghai on Saturday, Lieutenant Colonel Rizwan Malik told reporters.
