Model Town Islamic Trust has foiled the attempt of Qabza Group to occupy the Trust's land located here at F Block Model Town. In a statement issued here on Sunday, a spokesman of the Trust said that some elements tried to occupy the worship place being run by the Trust. These elements also moved to the civil courts against the management of the trust to occupy the land in question, but the honourable Supreme Court set aside all the decisions of the lower courts given in favour of Markaz Ashaat-e Islam and Mouvli Shafi Josh against the management of the Trust and ordered handing over of land in question to the Trust.
It may be mentioned that Model Town Islamic Trust was founded in 1937 and since then it has been extending the services to the residents of the area by successfully running the affairs of various mosques and graveyard in the area.
