Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi called on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit in Delhi on Monday. During the meeting Chief Minister of Delhi informed Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi about steps taken to eliminate environmental pollution and improve transport system of the city, according to a message received here on Monday.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi expressed a great deal of interest in Delhi's underground rail project. This project had been started in Delhi three years ago and its first phase would be completed by the end of next year.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi also apprised the Delhi Chief Minister of recent steps and future projects of the Punjab Government for uplift in the fields of education, irrigation, and industry.
