The National Tariff Commission (NTC) has finally determined anti-dumping duty on acrylic tow imported from Uzbekistan at the rate of 12.71 percent of C&F price. The duty was imposed provisionally for four months on August 12 following a preliminary investigation in line with the Anti-dumping Ordinance. The commission announced here on Thursday that the anti-duty levy has been affirmed in the final determination and that the rate would be valid for five years.
However, under the law, the affected party could appeal to the country's domestic anti-dumping tribunal or the WTO Dispute Settlement Body in Geneva.
The ordinance provides that this finding is subject to review by the commission, where warranted, at any time after two years if any interested party should request for a review on the basis of positive evidence submitted with regard to changed circumstances.
