The NWFP government has directed all qualified medical practitioners registered with Pakistan Medical Council, Homeopathic Council or Tibb Council to register themselves with the Health Regulatory Authority (HRA) of the province for next calendar year. This directive has been issued to all those running private medical institution such as hospital, nursing or maternity home, clinics including surgical medical dental radiological diagnostic facilities including CT scan MRI/clinical laboratory, and blood bank or any other health institution engaged in delivering health care services in private sector.
They have been asked to register themselves under section 21, 23 & 24 of the authority.
All the concerned have further been asked to apply for registration or renewal if they have already registered their clinics, and if their registration is going to be expired on or before 31st December 2004, on the prescribed form along with the fee to the Health Regulatory Authority within 15 days before the beginning of new year. The Registration Certificate for the clinics, health institution shall be valid for one year only and required to be renewed every year.
Those who are engaged in private practice and does not have valid registration from PMDC or Homeopathic or Tibb Councils as mentioned above shall not be allowed under the said ordinance to practice any more. They are required to close down all illegal dispensaries and their clinics at once, otherwise a legal action shall be taken against them.
The prescribed application forms and other information in this regard is available with Health Regulatory Authority, all the EDOs (H) Offices in the province.
The entire registration fee shall be submitted in the HRA Account No 03206009 the Bank of Khyber.
