USDA cotton export sales highlights for latest reporting week. Net Upland sales of 339,300 RB-a marketing-year high-were 81 percent above the week earlier and 64 percent over the prior 4-week average. Canada (131,600 RB) was the major buyer, with smaller quantities to Turkey (49,700 RB), China (33,900 RB), Mexico (25,000 RB), and Indonesia (21,300 RB).
Exports of 160,400 RB were 12 percent above the previous week and 18 percent over the prior 4-week average. The primary destinations were Mexico (24,100 RB), Turkey (16,700 RB), China (15,100 RB), Thailand (14,400 RB), and Indonesia (13,200 RB).
Net American Pima sales of 38,800 RB were mainly to Pakistan (13,900 RB), India (6,800 RB), Taiwan (5,400 RB), and Peru (2,800 RB).
Exports of 27,200 RB were primarily to China (11,400 RB), Peru (3,600 RB), Pakistan (3,000 RB), and Japan (2,600 RB).
