A funeral mass is to be held in London on Saturday for British-Iraqi hostage Margaret Hassan, who is believed to have been killed by her captors in Iraq. The Roman Catholic funeral service will be held at 1230 GMT at Westminster Cathedral and attended by family and friends.
As the aid-worker's body has not been found, her picture will be placed near the altar in the absence of a coffin, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster said in a statement.
Hassan was kidnapped on October 19 as she was being driven to work in Baghdad, where she was director of the local operation of aid organisation Care International.
A video released to Arabic news channel Al Jazeera last month showed a hooded figure shooting a blindfolded woman in the head.
Hassan's Iraqi husband and Foreign Office officials have said they believe the video tape is "probably genuine" and her family has said they believe Hassan is dead.
