A prominent columnist and Information Officer (PID) Sher Muhammad Akhtar died here on Sunday after protracted illness. He was buried at Islamabad graveyard. The deceased Sher Muhammad Akhtar after developing Ulcer was shifted from PIMS to CMA for operation two weeks earlier. The hospital authorities conducted his operation between the night of Saturday and Sunday, but he could not survive. Sher Akhtar also served in Radio Pakistan as Translator in 1972.
Federal Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has expressed condolences with the grieved family.
