Two people received injuries when a blast occurred in natural gas pipeline in Gulshan-e-Iqbal here on Sunday, an official of Gas Emergency Service said. The blast occurred in a pipeline passing near Masjid Bait-ul-Mukarram. The injured were passers-by who have been rushed to hospital by Edhi ambulances, the official said. Their identity was not known immediately.
The gas company officials have rushed to the site to investigate the matter. The blast also damaged the gas pipeline. The extent, nature and cause of damage is being investigated, the official said.
