Commodities on the wholesale markets were on the retreat during the week ended on December 11, 2004, though some items did register minor to modest gains. The commodities subject to downward revision were gram Punjab, gram dal, yellow peas and bajra, Tuver Punjab, Mexi wheat, Makai, Urad Burma plastic mouldings, sugar, beetle chana I and beetle 50x50. The items registered gains were kirana items, jute goods etc.
Plastic mouldings were by and large bullish such as HDPE film Saudia down 75 paisa to Rs 39.50, Mobil down 75 paisa to Rs 39.50 TR144 lost 75 paisa to Rs 39.50. HDPE injection Sabic 200056 down 75 paisa to Rs 40, Mobil 016 down 50 paisa to Rs 40.

Gram Punjab lost Rs 75 to Rs 2175, and Rs 2110, gram dal new inferior type fell by Rs 800 to Rs 2350, better type shed Rs 100 to Rs 2400, yellow peas lost Rs 80 to Rs 1475 and Rs 1510, dal down Rs 70 to Rs 1610 and Rs 1645, bajra shed Rs 10 to Rs 1290 and better down was down Rs 30 to Rs 1430.
Tuver Punjab lost Rs 63 to Rs 2000, Mexi wheat inferior down Rs 40 to Rs 1200 and better lost same amount to Rs 1210, Makai inferior was quoted at Rs 900 while better type was down Rs 25 to Rs 925, Guwar up Rs 75 to Rs 900 and both up Rs 150 to Rs 1000, wheat Mexi both gained Rs 20 to Rs 1220 and Rs 1230, cotton cakes inferior up Rs 2 to Rs 400 and better quoted at Rs 403.
Urad Burma lost Rs 25 to Rs 900, better shed Rs 20 to Rs 930, Sugar was quoted at Rs 1930 and Rs 1960, wheat both up Rs 10 to Rs 1230 and Rs 1240, cotton inferior quoted at Rs 400 and better quoted up Rs 2 to Rs 405, gram dal yellow peas Canadian shed Rs 15 to Rs 1450, and Rs 1485, dal down Rs 10 to Rs 1600 and Rs 1640, beetle chana I shed Rs 25 to Rs 2225, and better quoted at Rs 2275, beetle 50x50 shed Rs 15 and Bajra shed Rs 40 to Rs 1240 and Rs 1430, wheat up Rs 10 to Rs 1245 and Rs 1250.
FRIDAY'S: Guwar shed Rs 25 to Rs 1825 and Rs 1900 Dyes Rifa Black 182 percent down Rs 40 to Rs 125, Khaki US down Rs 95 to Rs 125, Brown CG down Rs 95 to Rs 125 and chrasonine G down Rs 8 to Rs 120.
ON SATURDAY: Barley from Sindh and Mardan both gained Rs 50 to Rs 1300. Other item did not show very change in subdued trading.
