An open auction of attractive registration marks of 'LZJ' series meant for registration of commercial vehicles in Lahore District will be held here on Tuesday. The auction will take place at the office of Director Excise & Taxation Region-C Lahore. According to sources, the reserved price for LZJ-1 will be Rs 10,000, for LZJ- 7 and LZJ-786 Rs 7,500 while it will be Rs 5,000 for remaining 133 attractive numbers of the series.
According to the new policy, sealed bids are also invited for allocation of three-digit numbers of any series of registration marks in Lahore. The reserved price fixed for participation in sealed bid is Rs 1,000.
The provincial government is fetching substantial revenue through sale of attractive registration marks of vehicles in the province for which credit goes to sitting Secretary E&T Sami Saeed who ensured transparency in the auction process, the sources claimed.
