The Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane made her Bollywood debut early this year and is a fervent fan of global Indian celebrity Priyanka Chopra. She recently talked about her fondness for PC to the Indian media.
Mawra hopes to balance her career between the two countries. The young actress, who has followed Priyanka since she won her ‘Miss World’ title, is inspired by the “Quantico” actress's confidence and like her believes in setting high goals for herself.
According to Deccan Chronicle, Mawra said: “I love Priyanka Chopra’s style of work and would love to follow her career path.
“I love the way Priyanka carries herself. I was eight-years-old when she was crowned Miss World. I remember telling my mom that I want to grow up to be like her. Ever since then, I have been following her closely. I have seen all her films and I am deeply influenced by her acting. I don’t do it consciously, but I always end up emulating Priyanka. I try very hard to be perfect in all my scenes. I don’t know if I will ever be able to achieve her level of perfection, but I am going to keep trying to reach where she is, at least as far as dedication to work is concerned.”
The actress, who is currently seen as Bushra in ‘Main Bushra’, made her Bollywood debut appearance in ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ earlier this year and managed to gather a large fan following on both sides of the border for her performance. Even though the film wasn’t a massive success on the box office and received mixed reviews, Hocane was however praised for her performance by the critics as well as audience.
