Private exporters reported the sale of 118,000 tonnes of soyabeans to China for the 2004/05 marketing year, the US Agriculture Department said on Monday. The marketing year for soyabeans began on September 1. US exporters must report any US or optional origin export sales activity of at least 100,000 tonnes - except 20,000 tonnes or more for soyabean oil - made in one day to a single destination by the following business day. Sales of smaller quantities must be reported weekly.
