President George Bush appreciated on Monday the work done by Pakistan to pursue al Qaeda targets in South Waziristan, saying "a good strategy" was in place, allies were co-operating in "sharing of intelligence" in war on terror and "we'll stay on the hunt".
In response to a question at end-of-the-year news conference at the White House, President Bush said: "Pakistan's government has been aggressive in pursuit of al Qaeda targets in Waziristan."
"And, I appreciate the work of President Pervez Musharraf."
"He came the other day, on a Saturday morning, to the White House, and, it's an opportunity to thank him once again for some of the bold steps he has taken," Bush said.
