Singapore bunker prices edged higher amid healthier enquiries on Monday, with last-minute buyers stocking up before the holidays. Bunker fuel of 380-centistoke (cst) grade rose around $3 to trade a few times at $176 a tonne, although major sellers were quoting about $180/$181 by evening, dealers said.
"There were some people coming in today with last-minute interest, having waited to take advantage of the contango, but now they've got to get in before the holidays," said one dealer.
Marine gas oil was pegged about $4 stronger at around $406 a tonne, they said.
