"Yes, we are looking to buy We will announce a tender maybe in the second half of January," a senior buying official at the state-run firm told Reuters.
The official added SIIC was looking for a shipment dates between February and March and was hoping for a price of between $230 and $235 per tonne. SIIC bought last week 38,000 tonnes of Brazilian raw sugar for arrival in January at $237 per tonne.
