Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) will hold the sixth Pakistan Industrial Exhibition in early January next, RCCI president Najam Rehan said here on Tuesday. He said the chamber was making its strong efforts to flourish the trade and commerce activities in that region, as the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry considered that region as hub for the trade to Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics.
The RCCI chief said that besides many other activities the Chamber was holding industrial exhibition in Rawalpindi to encourage the local industrial and exporter to take part in the economic uplift of the country.
He noted that more than 250 exhibitors would exhibit their products in the exhibition from all over the country, as about 90 percent of total stalls had already been booked, he said.
The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief said entertainment element was also taken care and musical programmes, variety shows, magic and cultural shows had been planned. "Exhibition provides a source of entertainment for the general masses," he observed and disclosed that fool proof security arrangements had also been made.
He further said the exhibition would certainly help in the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the region which would help in reduction of poverty and unemployment.
Najam Rehan said the exhibition besides introducing local products among the public also provides a source of entertainment and added that was the reason that people from twin cities and were attending the exhibition in large number.
Najam Rehan reiterated the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue its efforts towards the socio-economic development and prosperity of the country and hoped that forthcoming Pakistan Industrial exhibition by the RCCI would give boost to commerce activities in the region.
The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President said that Rawalpindi chamber, since its establishment, was working hard for the promotion of the trade not only in the Rawalpindi region but also in the country and by the grace of Almighty Allah it was succeeded in its efforts.
