Virat Kohli’s commitment to the sport and strict routine makes him the perfect idol for any budding cricketer. The 27-year-old maverick cricketer has a huge fan base across the border in Pakistan and commands huge respect. His recent heart-warming message to Pakistan is the talk of town these days.
According to Indian media reports, well respected umpire Aleem Dar’s son, Hasan Dar, also a cricketer, had sent a video to Kohli recently. On watching the video, the batting maestro responded with a lovely gesture in which he motivated the aspiring cricketer of believing in hard work and dedication and keep faith in their dream.
He said: "Hello Hasan ji. I have received your video. Thank you so much. You are right, hard work and dedication are very important in life for success. So keep working hard to improve your cricket, and don’t lose faith in yourself."
"Hopefully, we will meet if you come on some tour with Aleem bhai, and I will definitely send you a signed bat," he added.
Kohli, who recently slammed a double ton in the first Test against West Indies, has touched hearts of his fans in Pakistan with the lovely video message.
The second of the four-match Test series between West Indies and India begins on July 30 at Sabina Park in Kingston.
