Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim said on Friday that PPP should come openly and support President General Pervez Musharraf in uniform if it desires rapprochement with establishment. "We would welcome them if they want to board the same boat," he said while talking to newsmen at his chamber after the Sindh Assembly session was adjourned this afternoon.
To a question whether Asif Zardari was released through a deal, Arbab Rahim said," His release was the result of 'Dheel' (relaxation) and not a deal."
"We have no objection, rather would welcome if Asif Zardari intends to visit Punjab for 'saving the country' and for its prosperity," he remarked.
He blamed PPP of dual policies as according to him it spoke of rapprochement with establishment on one hand and creating disorder on the other. On recovery of kidnapped judges, chief minister said," The police suggested a deal for their recovery but I resented and ordered launching of operation for recovering the judges as there must not be any deal with the criminals. "We can also seek army help for recovery of judges," he added.
To another question, chief minister said Arif Mustafa Jatoi had tendered resignation for his personal reasons and there was no other reason behind it. "In past, the MQM had also been changing their ministers," he added.
"The shuffling in Sindh cabinet would soon take place and certain new ministers would also be inducted, however the date for expansion can not be disclosed as it would open way for political recommendations," he told.
To a question on dismissal of four District Nazims and creation of four new districts, Arbab Rahim said the decision would be taken in a meeting on December 29 whether to appoint Administrator in place of them or allow them to work till fresh elections. If decided, fresh elections of Nazims could be held in four existing and four new districts, he added.
To a question about the on-going agitation in Qambar town against declaring Shahdadkot as the district, chief minister said indiscriminate action would be taken against the opposition and the people belonging to ruling party for inciting the people for agitation. The suicide cases would be registered against the persons who tried to commit self-immolation, he added.
