The Sindh Assembly has all regards and respect for religious feelings of its members that is why the session each day begins with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an, followed by its translation in Sindhi and Urdu. After the recitation is over it is Hamd-o-Naat time. A prayer for the departed souls is always the first unofficial agenda all members respect.
The assembly has representation from all the political parties, including the MMA, which is a group of like-minded religious people and vocal to a great extent when it comes on religious issues.
It was strange quietness in the House on Monday when the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur'an began exactly at Zawal time (Waqt-e-Zawal) at 12 noon. No one objected to it.
The official Maulana sahib recited verses, which ask people to observe discipline among themselves and obey the righteous way.
None of the MMA members objected to this recitation at Waqt-e-Zawal. What is the Fatwa on this issue?
