License for the export of textile products will not be required from January 1, 2005, according to an assurance given by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) to the textile associations and exporters. According to a private TV channel, EPB sources said with the onset of quota-free trade post January next year, license for the export of textile products would not be needed.
For any textile products export now, the documents relating to General System of Preferences or the certificate issued by the country of origin would only be required.
