Ukraine's pro-Russia Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich refused Monday to concede defeat in a historic presidential rerun election to his rival Viktor Yushchenko. "I will never acknowledge such a defeat because the constitution and human rights were violated," he said in televised remarks. "We have lost nothing."
With 99.76 percent of polling precincts having reported, Yushchenko had an unassailable lead of 52.07 percent to 44.13 percent for Yanukovich, according to the electoral commission.
