Moulvi Sharif of Ahmad Zai Wazir tribe of South Waziristan Agency who was one of the most wanted persons during Wana operation called on the NWFP Governor Lieutenant General Syed Iftikhar Hussain Shah (Retd) here at Governor's House on Tuesday morning. They enthusiastically hugged each other and shook hands. Moulvi Sharif, who unconditionally surrendered to the administration weeks ago, assured his sincere loyalty to the country and the government, saying, that he will back and support the government policies particularly its efforts for the security of the borders as well as honour and dignity of the country.
He also assured to implement the agreement of his tribe with the government in this regard, under which the tribe is bound to fulfil its territorial responsibility and keeping the area free of unwanted and alien elements.
The governor while welcoming Moulvi Sharif to the Governor's House also felicitated him for taking a wise decision of reviving his loyalty to the country and the government. He said, the government put the honour and dignity as well as the interests of the tribal people in high esteem and its every step and action is aimed at achieving these objectives.
The governor was confident that Ahmad Zai Wazir of Wana would carry on their co-operation and would abide by their agreements with the administration.
