District Nazim, Chaudhry Zahid Nazir has said that during the last three years numberless developmental projects had been completed in district Faisalabad which had no example of its kind in the past and this process of development would continue even in future with the same pace, zeal and vigour. He stated this while addressing large gathering of the people on the occasion of inaugural ceremony of disposal works and sewerage system at Khurrianwala.
Tehsil Nazim Jaranwala Major Abdul Rehman Rana (Retd), Union Nazims Chaudhry Farrukh Shafique Elahi, Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar, Syed Muhammad Saqlain Ahmad Shah, Rana Muhammad Ashraf Amin Khan, Rana Iftekhar Ahmad Khan, Mian Asif Ali, Naib Nazims, Councillors, TMO Jaranwala Rana Muhammad Akram, elite of the area and people in a large number were also present on this occasion.
District Nazim said no doubt a large number of developmental projects had been completed in all the tehsils of the district but in tehsil Jaranwala and Khurrianwala area, an exemplary work had been done and was still being done which was all due to the personal interest and efforts of tehsil Nazim Jaranwala Major Abdul Rehman Rana (Retd). He said the importance of Khurrianwala area was increasing day by day.
He said dual carriageway from Faisalabad to Lahore was under-construction and would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs four billion, which would result in even more importance of this area.
He said Khurrianwala was being linked with pucca roads with major towns and villages and two colleges, one for boys and one for girls, would be set up there and each of the college would involve an amount of Rs 20 millions.
He said that five years' developmental plan of Faisalabad had been approved by the district assembly under which besides developmental work, special attention would be given towards the promotion of education and by the year 2010 each and every child of this district would be seen going to schools and none would be visible collecting papers from the roads.
District Nazim said steps were also being taken for the promotion of sports and two sports complexes, one each for Khurrianwala and Jaranwala, would be constructed. He advised the farmers to get their watercourses properly brick-lined by paying only their share of 20 percent.
Tehsil Nazim Jaranwala, Major Abdul Rehman Rana (Retd), while addressing the gathering said that the sewerage project of the area would be completed with an estimated cost of Rs 20 million and the entire population of Khurrianwala Town would be benefited. He said scores of developmental projects had been completed in Jaranwala tehsil while the work on others was in progress.
He said a water purification plant had been set up at Jaranwala and likewise one would also be installed at Khurrianwala so that the people could be able to get purified drinking water.
He said that our doors were always open for the people and everybody could come and meet at any moment. Rana Mohammad Amin Khan, Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar, Chaudhry Tahir Latif Advocate, Rana Iftekhar and other speakers also expressed their views and lauded the efforts being made by district Nazim Chaudhry Zahid Nazir and Tehsil Nazim Major Abdul Rehman Rana (Retd) for bringing about revolutionary developments to facilitate the common people.
