China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous region, bordering Pakistan, will open a new trade zone to develop its business links with the Central Asian States. It would be the second largest of its kind in north-western regions due to open to Kazakhstan next spring, regional trade official said on Tuesday. The trade zones which border Kazakhstan, cover 105,000 square metres in Altay Prefecture.
Built at a cost of about dollars 2.4 m, it is capable of handling 3,000 tons of commodities and accommodating some 10,000 business people annually.
